So today is Superman's Birthday! I am having a hard time taking it in that it's been five years since I gave birth to him. According to him, now that he is five, he is all grown up and knows everything. I am very happy that isn't the way things work for us humans, I would miss my kids too much. Then again there are days...ya know what I mean right?
We are still hanging in limbo as to news from down south. I seriously have a problem with hanging in limbo. I'm a let's do this thing kinda person, so I find the waiting to be a killer.
The last week or so we have been in a heat wave that broke records. Even with the air on, it still was...yuck. We finally got rain Friday, and I almost went out and did me a little jig. Before we got the rain I told DH he should be doing a rain dance, he just gave me a look and ignored me. Here I was having faith in his ability's and he hasta be like that. Poo on him.
The kids are enjoying being outside again, well at least Superman is. He's loving his pool he got as an early Birthday present, jokester however only wants to be indoors playing games. Not gonna happen there young fella. I have been giving him a boot in the butt out the door every 30 minutes. This kid is gonna kill me.
The house is almost back together after having to re-arrange everything except the kitchen. We finally have enough beds for the additions we hope to get. We are going to be packed in like sardines here, but we'll work it, and it's only going to be for awhile. That is until we find a much bigger home that is.
DH really wants to try a juicing diet. I'm not really on board with it. I like to chew my food, but I have to admit that the thought of the weight loss is appealing. If we do this it means my food budget will be really tight. It is amazingly expensive to only eat fresh fruit and veggies, and my poor garden isn't big enough for something like this. Plus, there is no way in hell the kids would be on board with this. So that means I will be making "six" meals a day. I have enough problems getting the three we do eat on the plate some days.
So I guess all in all, life is moving along. Some parts are going faster than I would like, while others are barely moving at all. I guess I must just figure out where to place myself so that it all balances out.
Hey there, this blog is about anything and everything that catches my interest. I'll try to keep it clean, but just so ya know, I have to keep it real.

Low sodium, and Additions
Wow, so I have been on this reduced sodium diet for about two months now. I really, really hate it. Just for the fact I have been making EVERYTHING from scratch. I'm getting very tired of trying to find recipes with low sodium, and then reducing the sodium even further.
What really sucks is that DH and I used to go out to eat on the weekends as our little thing to do, but now we can't since I can't eat at any restaurants. Well, let me correct that. I can eat anywhere, but for the most part all I can have is a salad...oooo how boring.
I always got in cooking slumps before, but now with my limits...there are days where it's just too much effort to even think about finding something I can eat. I have been making meals that I can't eat, just to get the family fed. I usually end up having a piece of fruit. Even if I do manage to find and make something I can eat, the portion size is so small that I never am filled up.
The good thing about all this...I'm not as dizzy as I have been in the past. I can really tell when I have eaten too much salt. The other good thing is that I'm loosing weight...finally. The first month I lost 5 lbs. I have no idea how much I have lost now, as we don't have a scale and I haven't had to go to the doctors. I can see it in my face, unfortunately it is all sliding down to my hips and butt. So I guess this reduced sodium diet is a good thing. I'm loosing weight and feeling great. Bwahaha, sorry couldn't resist.
Other things on the plate here at the crazy house. We are finally moving forwards with the adoption. Although it's at barely a crawl. I'm doing a HUGE blog about this as things either don't move anywhere, or crawl forwards at an agonizingly slower than slow turtle pace. I guess it ok that it's moving slow since we are not set up or ready for the kids yet.
Part of getting ready has been to go through everything and start getting rid of the crap that has followed us around for 8 years. We are emptying the house only to fill it again, but of course in a good way. We get to re-arrange the house again to accommodate the new family members. Also on our plate is looking for a much bigger house.
Now since we have been going through stuff, I have to wonder, where the heck all this came from. I guess for us (DH) it's mostly papers that have to be filed or something. Boxes and boxes of papers. For me, I'm really at a cross roads as to what to do with my sewing stuff. This house has been too small for me to set it up anywhere, and for sure there wont be room now. So I must either get rid of it all which would make me a very sad momma, or find somewhere to store it as we have no garage, and our basement is too wet.
So as you can see I have been busy, busy, busy, and I don't think it has set in to DH's head what we really need to do for this. I laid it all out for him last night, and he was like. "Wow, alrighty, gottcha, yep, ok." Not sure if this meant he got the idea and is really gonna move on all this, or if he was just saying this to shut my panicking ass up. Because yes, right about now I'm starting to panic. We have no idea when anything will happen on our end, so we are working with a deadline that is sometime in the future. I should say in all fairness that DH has been doing a wonderful job of helping me with the sorting and tossing. I finally got him to go through stuff, it only took 8 years.
So yeah, I am trying to keep focused and not become to overwhelmed with the enormous task before me. I make sure I have my little moments set aside for me to freak out. I just keep chugging along, tossing and sorting. Now I have to scrub, scrub, scrub. The house was never deep cleaned or painted before we moved in. I did just a quick clean, as things moved kinda fast when we moved here, so now I must go back and scrub all the spots I missed and scrub the spots that have since gotten dirty. I think I need an organizer to attack my house, but I don't have the money to hire someone. So I guess I will stumble along.
And that folks is whats been happening here at The Crazy Life: Ramblings of a mom. Things were just getting too quiet, so we thought we would shake it up a bit...ok maybe a lot.

I lost Track of Time
Well sometimes things just get away from us. My Princess went out last weekend and found the perfect prom dress with all the accessories. I wonder where the time flew? It seems like just yesterday she was in first grade. How did she get to seventeen without me knowing?
My Jokester is going into 2nd grade next year. With him too, it seems like he was just in his walker sneaking french fries from our customers, and not a seven year old boy who is obsessed with healthy eating.
Then there's my little Superman. DH, wasn't it just awhile ago, that Superman had the emergency surgery when he was 2 months old? He's going to be five this year, and tells me he knows everything.
How time flies. Quite frankly time doesn't even care if your having a good time or a bad time. Time just keeps marching on doing it's thing. Looking back it seems as if the last seventeen years hit warp speed, and holy crap I wasn't supposed to get older this fast either. The last age I remember being was twenty-seven, and cool, and full of energy, and skinnier. A lot skinnier, and not sleep deprived, and I was fun, and skinnier.
Ok, enough with the skinnier stuff. While it's true that I was skinnier than I am now, that was then and this is now. I must deal with what I have now, and that's all I can do. Seriously though, I do not like being over weight. Let me back that one up a bit and speak the truth. I do not like being fat.
I seem to be one of those people who lately lacks any motivation. It took me three years to actually do more than just talk about quitting smoking to actually trying to quit. Which I did quit on Valentines day.
Don't ask why that day, I have no clue. It just was time, that's all. I have to get unbelievably pissed and disgusted with the circumstance that I don't like before I move to change it. Prior to that, I'm all talk.
Well I'm starting to get pissed about my weight. I want it gone. I am not going to just sit back and embrace my fatness and chalk it up to getting older. Screw that. Big excuse right there. I have over used the excuse of the problems with my back and hips to not do any exercising. Truth is, I can exercise in moderation without ending up in bed for weeks. It is when I go all gung ho that ends up putting me in bed for weeks. I'm not about to add another excuse to use. Older my ass...
Diet. More specifically my diet. Ha ha, well I should say the families diet. It's changing, whether we like it or not. I have been put on a reduced sodium diet. Guess what? It sucks trying to find stuff to eat. Why, you ask? Here's why...for the most part with a few exceptions, everything out there has sodium in it. Whether it's there naturally or put in by man. There is sodium everywhere! There is salt in stuff that doesn't even need salt in it for crying out loud! I can't get away from the stuff it seems. Since I already have to take drastic measures in finding or making food that is low sodium, I might as well go out on a limb and loose some weight too, and eat healthier like my mom taught me to do.
Now the hard part for me. I have no idea why I have such a time with this, but I have just a bitch of a time trying to get all the knowledge that is in my brain into a workable plan. It's driving me crazy. Snort, hehe I'm already crazy. Guess that was a short drive. I can research, and dig up information like there is no tomorrow, but putting it all together....whole nother story. I used to be good at this, apparently not any more. So here I sit, with a ton of knowledge and no idea what the hell to do with it all. I put it in a sloppy temporary form of something to tide me over while I continue to work on the plan. Argh!!!! Talk about a set-up for failure.
Well once again I wrote another post that just took on a mind of it's own. You would think I would have some control over my fingers and what they type, but they just type whatever the hell they want to. This is what the end product looks like. Hope you had a happy read, y'll take care now. I'm off to find some low sodium recipes for enchiladas for dinner tonight. You know this means I have to make everything from scratch here. Ugh.

A Bit of This, and a Bit of That
Wow, I have to say the following really, really quietly ok folks...things have been fairly quiet around here. Knock on wood. Wait can't reach any wood. I got Formica. Stop! Every time I knock on anything, something bad, crazy, totally unbelievable, scary, or just plain insane happens around here. I take back my knock on wood. I refuse to knock on anything in the hopes that things stay normal for a bit. I know I totally just fucked myself there now didn't I...sigh. See what happens when I have keys that I can push that makes words? I cause my own demise without even trying. As my dad would say, "you really are a Pollock aren't ya?" Yes, yes I am, and thank you very much daddio for giving me that heritage. (For all you people including me who were not part of the 50's I just called my dad, dude hahaha.)
So on with the writing. Oh yeah, it's gonna be one of those very unnecessary Rambling posts that doesn't go anywhere. Just thought I would warn you before you get too deep into it. As I was saying, read the very first sentence and insert it here. One thing that has changed is that I have gone from the only driver in the house to one of three drivers. Scary! Well one of us is only on a permit, but none the less, still scary. Let's just say Princess thinks she needs to have a love affair with the right side of the road. Oh yeah, she also doesn't like to stop. I really do not want to take her driving. I have no idea why. I taught two of my sisters to drive the day I got my license. Ha! There would be the why...I was young and stupid. We also lived in the middle of no where so there wasn't anything to hit either. Not the case here.
Maybe this post should be about all the stupid things I did as a younger person and never got caught. Naw, I still might get in trouble. Really I wasn't a bad kid, just Polish. Yes! There is my excuse! It's rock solid. Fine I'll stop picking on the Pollocks. You know DH gets really pissed when I say stuff like, "hey that was my Polish coming out". He seems to think I'm being derogative towards myself, and I fall into a pit of dispare or something. On a side note...for some reason Blogger is not liking the way I am spelling my words. Hey Blogger they are correct! I double checked, so suck it! Well on that note, the lid on my garbage can just opened by itself.
Moving on to less passionate things I guess. I definitely do not want to upset the garbage can again. Touchy, touchy. So the doctor and physical therapist that I saw for my vertigo, unbalanced, ear thingy, thing seem to think I might be in the early stages of Meniers Syndrome. Yippee! Not. Hopefully they turn out to be wrong, but in the mean time they would both like me to go on a low salt diet of only 2 grams of salt a day and I guess with this comes no caffeine too. I originally thought that this would be a cinch (the salt thing, not the caffeine) since I didn't think I ate much salt, since I rarely use it when cooking. Turns out it's in everything that we eat for the most part. For instance there is 130mg of sodium in one serving of 2% milk. I had no clue, and guess what? It's there naturally. Nothing we can do about it. This is going to suck, big time. Then to top it off...once someone tells me no, I only want it all the more. I could really go for some salty chips right now. Good thing I'm broke and there isn't any in the house.
Well I guess I'll wrap this one up, I'm sure there is something around here that I should be doing right now. I really should start looking at the foods I can actually have now. How boring. Well you all take care now, and I'll check you next time. Hugs to you.

There's "Someone" in My Kitchen!
One of the things that just makes my eyes go crossed and steam come out my ears is when "someone" decides to go into the kitchen and create stuff. Now don't get me wrong this "someone" is actually a very good creator of edible things. I love it when he creates!
I however do not like the mess that is left over. It is gigantic! It is indescribable. One can only, upon entering the kitchen, just stand there with mouth gaping wide, as you take in the destruction. I'm talking food splattered on the other side of the kitchen and on the ceiling type of disaster.
Lately this "someone" (DH) has decided that he want's to start juicing veggies and fruit. Sweet! Way cool! I have nothing against getting healthier. I would do it too, but I just don't like the consistency. Thinking I might be the smoothie kinda girl.
So aanyhoo, awhile ago, I went out and found a couple of juicers at the thrift store. (Yes I am a thrift store junkie) I bought them both just in case. Apparently the person who had them before was a lazy person, because it seriously took me three hours to clean these things. Glad they were so cheap or they would have been tossed within the first half hour.
So I made the first couple of drinks for DH, I made sure I clean the stupid juicers till they shined. After all the work I already put into them I sure had better not find them looking like that again.
Then that day came. That day when someone decided to make his own juices. It was a happy, sad day for me. Happy because I no longer had to make these these seriously huge pain in the butt drinks, sad because Somebody was in the kitchen, and I wasn't even getting a steak made for me. The mess was so not worth it. I felt seriously ripped off.
The mess turned out to be everything I imagined, and then some. I have to say he did manage to get the equipment into the sink, however the rinsing and washing was left to Princess and I. I hate juicers! I will be just as healthy eating a whole fricken apple and not have the mess. He made about four of the drinks, and realized what a pain in the ass they were to make.
While it's a good thing to do things to get your body healthier, sometimes doing things the old fashioned way is best. Well I guess that is if you don't want steam and my eyes going crossed you will go theclean old school way. Cuz good golly miss molly, I am bone tired of cleaning up after peoples. Cheers to you on getting healthy again!

Time to Turn the Ship Around
I'm really having a hard time writing this without me circling back around and repeating. There is something that I need to do, but at this moment I either don't want or I don't see it.
Well it's been the week from hell for me, and I'm mentally, emotionally, physically spent. My brain is a pile of mush, and I feel like I could sleep for a month. It's not like anything major happened this last week, but I feel like this none the less.
You see the only thing that happened this week was me and DH, and not in the good way either. You see, we have a very dysfunctional relationship, and it has been this way for eight very long years. We actually aren't married but Dear Husband sounds a bit better that boyfriend so I went with it.
About two weeks after we started going out he decided that I needed to be fixed and he was just the person to do this because of course he knew just what was wrong with me. I had other thoughts on this and in kicked my defense system. It's been running full blast for almost eight years, and I'm tired.
I should mention that things aren't as bad as they were for the first five years. Things really have improved. There are no longer objects flying threw the air (I confess this would mostly be me) police aren't getting called, the screaming has almost disappeared.
However there are some key things that are still happening, and I'm having a very hard time dealing with it. Some of it is my fault, some (most, of course) is his fault. At this point of writing I don't feel as if I need to get into all the gritty details, but who knows maybe later I will.
The point is that after eight years of basically stuffing it, with the exception of the occasional small eruptions, I have pretty much just buried my hurt, anger, thoughts and feelings down deep. Well that all came to a end Sunday after a week of being bombarded with all his issues that he has with me. I completely lost it yesterday. I'm talking about the, "holy shit she's possessed, head spinning, spit flying", loosing it. I am not joking here, I actually did that, ok that might be an exaggeration, but it sure felt like that is what happened.
Was I wrong in behaving like that? Yes I was, and once I found my head lying under the couch I put it back on and apologized. When he asked me what it was that he did that made me go so over the top, I couldn't give him a precise answer. It's all these little things when put together equals one HUGE problem for me. It's very frustrating to not be able to put it into words. It's just this feeling that I get deep down in my gut. An anger that starts at a simmer and rapidly goes into a volcanic explosion. Unfortunately all he has to do now is just open his mouth and the feeling starts. Even if it is just to ask me where his coffee is.
I hate not being in control of myself. It tends to make a big mess. I'm not saying that it's all my fault, because there is a lot of bad blood going on here. A vicious cycle that neither of us seems to be able to stop. We both know it's happening, and we are both helpless to stop it. It's just us, and it's a dynamic between us that is eventually going to kill us. For me, there isn't much left. Just kinda wandering through life, for him, well I cant really speak for him.
On top of being constantly bombarded emotionally, I just spent six years being sick due to the fact that the stupid doctors refused to give me the correct medication for my seizures . I am finally starting to become well again, and things have to change. They have to change NOW. I will not spend the next eight years being like a zombie on a ship in a storm getting tossed back and forth every time a wave hits. I want to live life, now that I have the energy, and my brain is no longer in a mental fog.
I have some issues obviously that I need to work on, like maybe quit stuffing things rather than address them or speaking my mind. Being able to discuss things that hit a sore spot with me without erecting the defensive walls faster than you can blink. These I guess would be two good ones to work on right away, and I'm thinking that they will keep me pretty busy for awhile. It's going to be tough, and I'm sure I will throw my temper tantrums. In the long run...in order for me to be happy in my life I must tackle these bad boys to the ground. Here goes nothing, wish me luck.

SOPA , Dogs, Balls and of Course Chili
Well it's been a bit busy around here the last two days, and that would be why there hasn't been anything new. Well that and honoring the internet blackout...sort of. Ok, I have to call it what it is and it's laziness for the most part. I really tried to read the bill for SOPA, but alas it was too dry of a read for me. What I did happen to gather is that this bill is pretty vague in some very important areas, and usually when you have that it leads to a whole lot of confusion and bad out comes. We have to make sure we do our own homework when dealing with things of this nature to make sure we have the whole picture, and not just rely on someone to give us their take on it, so I do recommend that you actually read the bill for your self. I will warn you it's a long one.
Now for something a bit more lighthearted.
It seems that BG doesn't really know how to play. I have bought different toys for her, and the out come with that was she adopted one as her baby. Wont play with it just protects it, and certainly wont let others play with it. Now Henry on the other hand LOVES to play...anything! Catch, fetch, tug, bones, rough housing, chase, track...I'm sure you have the picture now. Anyhow, I have been trying to get BG to play, and it's not going so great.
So far the only things I have found that she likes is playing chase with me and the laser light. She will stalk it like a cat would stalk something, she will chase it, she even asks to play with it. Small problem here though and that is that our house is small. There isn't much space for her to run after it. The kitchen is out since the girl only has three legs and non-carpeted surfaces are a nightmare for her. Our living room is pretty much a walkway between the couch and tv, and the hallway ends in tiled floor so she must scrunch herself into a ball just to turn around in it. Even though we have these obstacles, we manage to have fun each night.
Now I know she does like to play, because when she first came here, at first she would just watch me and Henry play fetch and she would whine to play. Now she wants to play, and her little stub tail wags like crazy. The only problem is that instead of chasing the ball and fetching it, she thinks she is supposed to chase Henry and fetch him. She has absolutely no interest in the ball. She hasn't actually tried to fetch him, but she jumps around in confusion trying to figure out how to grab him and bring him to me without hurting him. Poor Henry is totally oblivious to the fact that she thinks he is her ball, all he cares about is fetching the ball. It is a work in progress in teaching her how to play, we just have to figure out how to teach her that it's the ball and not Henry she is supposed to fetch.
Tonight I had a craving for Chili, and since the only meat we had in the house was hamburger I thought why not? I looked high and low for a packet of Chili mix, but we didn't have any so off to the internet to find a recipe for the mix. Boy oh boy did I strike gold! This stuff was amazing, plus I had all the ingredients so that's a bonus! Since owning a restaurant on DH's Reservation we make Chili a bit different now. We add elbow macaroni noodles in it. It helps make a bigger batch for just a
couple of pennies, and is more filling. So without further adieu I bring you...
Rez Chili serves: 6-10, in other words...BIG ole batch!
Ingredients:
1 lb hamburger browned and grease drained
1 small onion chopped
3 cups uncooked elbow macaroni
2 15oz. cans tomato sauce
1 10oz. can diced tomatoes with green chilies
1 15.5oz. can of light red kidney beans
2 c. water, or to the consistency you want
1/4 c. or to your taste chili mix*
Directions:
1)Cook the elbow macaroni noodles per box instructions, and set aside
2)In a large pot brown hamburger and chopped onions; drain grease
3)Add all ingredients into the large pot along with the noodles.
4)Bring to a boil, turn heat down cover and simmer for 30+ minutes. The longer you let simmer the better the flavors mix. I only simmered for 30 minutes since it was already past dinner time.
5)Serve with shredded cheddar cheese and a dollop of sour cream if desired.
This is in no way something I came up with, so I am due no credit to this great recipe. Click on the link to see the original recipe.
*Chili Mix
Mix the following together.
1/4 c. flour
1 tablespoon crushed red pepper (I forgot to add these and it still had quite the kick)
1 tablespoon dry minced onion, or 1 teaspoon powder
1 tablespoon dry minced garlic, or 1 teaspoon powder
2 teaspoon sugar
2 teaspoon cumin powder
2 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon dried basil
1/4 teaspoon pepper
The recipe for this says it makes 6 servings, but I used about half of it for this batch of Chili. Make sure you add the mix a little at a time so you don't go over the top. I started out with 1/8 c. and increased to 1/4 c.
Ha! DH will be so proud of me, I actually wrote down one of my recipes! He gets so mad when I create something and don't write it down for him to make too.

Toe to Toe
I have this thing where I stub my toes on other peoples toes. NO,no,no that's not quit right...other people stub their toes on my toes. Yeah that's it. It has no bearing on the fact that I am the one who is walking, none at all. DH, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
It all began one night when I was walking over to DH (who was sitting on the couch) to give him a hug. And that's when it happened! His damn toe attacked mine! It just patiently waited until my toe was in range and jumped out and stubbed it's self on my toe. I was hopping up and down like a crazy rabbit yelling ow-wee, ow-wee, and he was grabbing his toe, moaning ohhh that hurts, ouch, ohhhh. Our eyes met and we both burst out laughing while we were still crying over the pain.
He says, "how do you manage to stub your toe on mine? You should really learn how to walk." Oh no! He didn't go there now did he. It wasn't me at all, and here's my reasoning.
First off... he had a blanket over his feet...like I would know there's a toe there.
Secondly...there was so much crap in the area that I would have to have been in special ops to maneuver around it all.
thirdly...my equilibrium has been way off lately, so it's not that I don't know how to walk, it's just that the world keeps tilting on me, and no I haven't been drinking. See not my fault at all.
So this has happened a couple of times, and each time DH looses a bit more of his sense of humor. I tell him he needs to laugh through the pain. Lighten up already. Plus it's not just between DH and me. Princess has done it to me too. I was just standing there, when she stubbed her toe on mine as she walked by.
Either people in this house need to quit stubbing their toes on mine or I'm going to have to invent a "nut cup" for toes pretty soon. Hmm, I can see dollar signs already!

What to Wear When the Truck Breaks...Again
I went to get dressed today, and was looking for my sweat pants, cuz it's that kind of day. They are nowhere to be found. I looked in all my drawers, hit DH's dresser, the boys dressers...nowhere. I looked in the dirty baskets just in case I wore them and didn't remember, not there. The only place I didn't look was in Princess's room. Why would I look there? Well occasionally when she does her laundry and sees I only have a few dirty clothes she offers to wash mine too. (I know! What teenager does this right?) I suppose I should go look in there, but I don't want too. She has this habit of washing my clothes with her's but never gets them out of her room. I was looking for a specific pair of pants for Superman one day and could not find them. Three months later I happened to be in her room, and there they were. I guess I should just be happy she's helping me.
So until I find my sweat pants, I am forced to wear a pair of pants that are um... a tad too small. You see I don't have many pants that actually fit me. All my money goes to getting what the family needs, and in the off chance there's some left over for me, I don't usually spend it on myself anyhow. I'm unselfish that way. I really should spend some money on some pants because the ones I have on now are going to cut off my circulation and cut me in half. Either that or do a load of laundry. Nope, not gonna be doing that today. Actually what I should do is, make a pattern of the jammy pants that I loved so much I wore them out, and make a new pair. I wore those things everywhere. They were actually mens lounging pants that passed as sweat pants...sort of. Close enough.
No I don't go around like some of those women who go out looking like they just rolled out of bed, with their actual pj's and slippers on. It's the lounge pants or slippers, never both at the same time. Come on I do take alittle pride in myself, though not much. Who has time to fix their hair and be in command of three kids, three dogs, and a DH? Well I guess there are some of those types out there, but not me. I like to be comfortable, and I'm done with my days of being with the latest trends. Got more important fish to fry. Like finding out where my sweat pants disappeared to.
Princess's friend gave us some dog supplies the other day since they got rid of all their dogs. One of the things she gave us was one of those food and water bowl stands for large dogs so they don't have to bend down to eat and drink. Cool! Only thing is it's HUGE, and my kitchen is small.
There isn't a place for it, yet. In order to get this thing it's own home will result in clearing off the only little counter space I have and putting DH's coffee maker on it, and moving the shelf unit that it currently sits on. I have to clean out my pantry to make room for the shelf thingy in there, and then there will be a spot for it. I debated on whether to use the thing, but BG seems to like it. This is going to be a couple hours long project. I really don't feel like doing this, but I'm tired of tripping over it.
On another note, I really hate vehicles. After spending well over a thousand dollars on my stupid truck, I now have a new problem. There is something wrong with the valve stem on one of my back tires. Which I found out when I went to put air in it last night. Now I had tried to put air in it the other week, and had trouble but I thought it was due to the air hose I used because I had trouble with all the tires. Guess not. So now my tire is at like 25 pounds and I have no way to get air in the stupid thing. I don't want to spend a lot of money on it since I will be getting new tires here shortly. I just wanted to put it off a bit longer than what it seems to turning out to be. Damn truck. Guess I'll have to go out and put the spare on. Don't wanna...it's cold out! Any volunteers? Please? I'm begging now.

Yes I am Fickle
Well the other week I thought I would switch sites for the ease of doing things. Turns out the other site, while super for somethings, turns out to be much harder to work with. So I guess I shall use this for most of my posts, and for the ones that require that extra something else. I will use the other site. You will be able to link to each site to make sure you don't miss anything. However the best way to get the latest posts is to Like Me on Facebook. Each post is posted there. Am I fickle? Why yes I am. I really never used to be like this...honestly it's a newer thing with me.
On with the show, here we go
I'm the type of person who has to sleep with a blanket. It doesn't
matter if it's hotter than hell outside I have to have my blanket. It
might just be wrapped around my legs (never the feet), or maybe just thrown across my mid
section, but it is always there. Now here is where the problem is...
My DH is HOT! Bet you didn't know that now did you? You probably are
thinking I'm talking about physical features here, and yes he is, but
that's not what I'm talking about. What I'm really talking about here is the
fact he is hot temperature wise.
When he comes to bed he literally raises the temperature in the room like 5 degrees. I don't mind the fact that he warms the room since I like to be nice and toasty when I sleep. What I don't like is that he heats the bed up so hot I can't sleep, and I'm not talking bout the rocking of the motion here. Just plain ole sleeping going on here folks.
At some point during the night, what I find is that I'm sweating my ass off, and my blanket is no where to be found not to mention the extra pillow I must sleep with since being preggers is missing too! My beloved blanket and pillow have somehow gotten thrown off of me to become tangled in his cocoon of blankets. So now because I can't sleep when sweating my ass off and my blanket is no where close to me, I am now sort of awake. Hmm might be why I'm always tired.
So I now have to go on the hunt for my missing blanket and pillow, and since I'm the type of person who must immediately pee upon wakening I also have to run to the bathroom. Very much awake now. Returning to the bedroom I find he had now somehow managed to sprawl over the bed. Ok maybe not really sprawl since he's still all cocooned up, but he has somehow managed to take over the whole bed including the tiny spot I just vacated.
While he did leave some space, it is no where's near enough room to plant my ass let alone the rest of my body. First things first...rescue blanket and pillow! Move him around a bit to catch sight of the missing blanket, and YANK! My feet were braced and I really put my body into yanking my poor blanket. Nothing. So now I'm wide awake, getting cold cuz I need to snuggle in my blanket, and pissed. Plus it's WAY too early to get up. It's war!
I manage to find the side of him that I need to flip his ass over with, and heave. Again nothing. When completely relaxed he weighs like four hundred pounds! I hunker down to get a better grip, and heave again. He MOVED! Hallelujah! I find my blanket but no pillow, I manage to get blanket free from his cocoon. Ha! Pillow is wrapped in blanket. Score!
Now I must straighten it all out so I can finally get back in bed and hopefully fall back asleep. Turn to hop into bed and there he is again in my spot! You may insert any lovely explosive words of your choice here, because there were too many spewing out of my mouth to type here.
So I begin the task of trying to flip him out of my spot again. Nothing. Finally I resort to smacking him and yelling at him to MOVE OVER!!! I get a grunt. Time to play hard ball now. I manage to get into bed and precariously position myself so I don't fall out of the bed, and line myself up. Time to steam roll his ass. I start rolling into him, nothing, I then start rolling myself up the side of him, he wiggles, I continue to roll over and on top of him, must be scrunching something and making him uncomfortable because he finally starts to move! I must play this wisely, because if I don't move the right way at the right time he will roll himself completely on my side of the bed, and I sure as hell ain't sleeping on his side. I manage to time it perfectly and low and behold there is my spot! With my blanket and pillow!
I carefully get into place, if I move too much he will steam roll me. Ha did you really think I came up with that one on my own? Get my blanket and pillow in place and hope I can fall back to sleep. Which I manage to do for oh, about an hour till Superman comes in stuffing a toy up my nose to wake me up. What is it with this family and shoving things up my nose?
